This amazing Chocobo traveling song has been played in every Final Fantasy game
Story
In the end they didn't leave everything perfect, which shows more of that realistic human side.

Started great but ended a bit lack luster

- This game kind of fell off at the end for me. Even after defeating the Emperor twice, it didn't seem like a great resolution in the end of the game.
- I did like a few of the plot devices and the conflicts happening with the game, specifically Joseph, Ricards, and Leon/Maria's interactions. They made the characters feel a bit more human and that there can be a sense of loss.
- The controls and everything were fantastic on the Steam Deck over all.
- As stated before I wish there was more information in the UI for items specifically.
- I ended up collecting a lot of items that seemed to serve not purpose but were very rare for some reason.
- Really liked all the Notorious Monsters that popped up, ones that we will see in other Final Fantasy games around.
- Chocobos!

While an interesting end game, there was some flaws

- I like parts of the story, but I also dislike parts of the story at the same time. In general, when a character dies they stay dead unless there is some foreshadowing or something that can bring them back. However in Final Fantasy II they bring back the Emperor with almost no reason. I would have much rather have fought a super sad Dark Knight Leon and ended the story that way, but I guess they wanted to go to Hell.
- No very happy with the lack of information on how magic works. I had level 15 Flare which was barely doing any damage with it until I had to look up equipment gives negative bonuses to magic attacks. There should be some indicator on to how that works in the UI.
- It was fun seeing all the different Notorious Monsters within the ending of the game, always fun to fight interesting baddies.
- The end dungeons were challenging and harder to progress quickly which is what you would expect from the end game.

Smooth story progression and an overall enjoyable experience

- The story has really picked up, with playable characters dying and a little bit more depth to the world around our Warriors of Light.
- Not sure how many times Hilda can get captured though.
- Chocobos! Everything is better with Chocobos! Plus they are a nice way to travel, even if it is only for one section of the game.
- The leveling system seems to be working well, however, magic seems to be very weak unless it is against specific enemies that are weak to it.
- The grind isn't bad and the autobattle makes it even easy to just keep going through the story.
- The optimize equipment button is bad. It seems to always just go for the highest DPS regardless of type of class the character is kind of geared towards. Manually equipping all your party members with new gear gets annoying but its better than the optimizer.

The overwhelming power of the Empire

- A very helpless start to the game, we really feel the power of the Empire.
- Never played this game before, enjoying the unique leveling system.
- Of course this is another fantastic game on Steam Deck.
- You start off with a premade party already and the characters have their own unique names and skill sets. I left my parties names as default.
- Really interested in the leveling system of weapons and magic. The more you use the weapon type or specific mage, the more it levels up.
- All characters seem to be able to learn any type of weapon or magic, just need to equipment correctly.
- The plot seems a little bit generic, defend against the Empire with the rebel army, but it's still enjoyable.

- This isn't for the game itself but my Steam Deck can mute specific games. It's and easy fix, just have to go into some menus and unmute the game.
- Game installed 600mbs and started easy peasy.
- Let the new adventure begin!

The lesser of Final Fantasies

- A lot of people say this is the worse Final Fantasy in the entire series. I want to see it for myself.
- Never played this Final Fantasy before, pretty excited to experience the story.
- I hear the characters have actual names in this one and some roles based on their character.
- Another dated game but hopefully the Pixel Remastered version will prove some shininess.
- Full playthrough will be on the Steam Deck.
