Having a map in this game helps so much! I always got lost and it even shows where stairs are!

Navigation and Interface

Great use of a map, very good quality of life for this game

  • After finishing off Garland once and for all, it didn't really feel like the game actually ended. Maybe I didn't get enough story after we were victorious.
  • I actually do not remember the time traveling part of the story line from when I played this in my youth but it's pretty surprising and actually pretty in-depth for the first game in the series.
  • The Quality of Life that Pixel Remastered gives to the game are great. The auto battling makes it so it isn't a chore to just wander through the world.
  • This game is great for the Steam Deck, easy to play at any time and pick back up.

  • Warmech, what an annoying mob to kill for almost no reason. (expect achievements)
  • They story really picks up with translating a villages language, traversing the sky's, time traveling, and then ultimately defeating Chaos.
  • Got a mention of the famous Cid, while talking to the Lufenians.

  • Kind of just feels like I am doing the same thing over and over again.
  • Finding out where to go can be a little tricky,  but it's not the worst. Thankfully there just isnt that many NPCs that need interaction.
  • Updating the classes for more versatility is very fun. Loved how that can change the dynamic of your team.
  • Not much change in the story as well during this time. Pretty linear and very static.

  • The game really brings you back to simpler systems and 8 bit games, with only a few actions that can take place
  • Because of the pixel remastered, the game seems like it has the same amount of encounters but it is manageable
  • Playing on the Steam Deck has been fantastic for this, very seamless and easy.
  • Haven't found any difficulty with any bosses and just moving along through the game
  • I started over a few times with a few different parties but in the end I choose one mega Warrior of Light and 3 supports. This not only has a fun aesthetic feel but also seems fun!
  • The hidden game is fun! A true classic to older video games having cheat codes and secret games within the game.

  • The tiny game of 607 MB had no issues installing fast and easy on both the PC Steam and Steam Deck.
  • I did have some issues with my recording capture card hooking into my Steam Deck, since we can only record in Desktop Mode on the Steam Deck.
  • After finally getting that working, turns out I also needed to readjust the resolution that the Steam Deck thought he capture card was doing.
  • Eventually persevered and got the classic Final Fantasy intro recorded AND playing on my Steak Deck
  • The adventure begins!

  • Besides Mario and Excite Bike, this was one of the first games I remember playing on Nintendo, brings back the feels.
  • I also remember spending an incredible time lost in this game, with the new Pixel Remaster addition, hopefully that will not be the case.
  • The game is dated thought, I'm feeling a little uneasy about how long I am going to spend doing boring stuff
  • After reviewing the achievements for the game seems obtainable to get 100% clear, although a little scared of the 100% chests and the bestiary, but I have grinded harder for the corporation.
  • Gonna be playing a lot of this on the Steam Deck, hopefully that works out well.
  • No idea what kind of part I am going to do, but it will have one guy with a big sword.
